JEWELLERY CARE
Keep Your House of Ved Pieces Beautiful
Our jewellery is designed to make a statement. With the right care, you can help preserve its finish, shine and detailing for every occasion.
Whether you are wearing a rented piece or caring for jewellery you own, a little attention goes a long way.
Before Wearing
Complete your beauty routine before putting on your jewellery.
Apply:
- Perfume
- Moisturiser
- Makeup
- Hair spray
- Body oils
Allow these products to dry before wearing your jewellery.
Keep Jewellery Away From Water
Avoid wearing jewellery while:
- Showering
- Swimming
- Washing your face
- Exercising
- Washing your hands where possible
Moisture can affect the finish and appearance of jewellery over time.
Avoid Chemicals
Keep jewellery away from:
- Perfumes
- Deodorants
- Hairsprays
- Lotions
- Oils
- Cleaning products
- Alcohol-based products
Direct contact with chemicals can cause discolouration, dullness or damage to delicate finishes.
Handle With Care
Many of our pieces feature intricate detailing and delicate stones.
Always:
- Handle jewellery with clean, dry hands.
- Hold pieces by their stronger sections rather than delicate embellishments.
- Avoid pulling or bending chains.
- Put jewellery on after dressing.
- Remove jewellery before changing outfits.
Cleaning
Do not use household cleaning products or abrasive materials on your jewellery.
For light cleaning, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
Do not scrub, soak or polish jewellery unless specifically instructed by House of Ved.
Storage
When not in use:
- Store each piece separately.
- Keep jewellery inside its original pouch or box.
- Keep pieces away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on top of jewellery.
- Keep chains secured to prevent tangling.
For Rented Jewellery
Please do not attempt to repair, alter, polish or professionally clean rented jewellery yourself.
Return the jewellery in the condition in which it was received, using the packaging provided.
A Simple Rule
Perfume first. Jewellery last.
This one simple habit can help protect your jewellery and keep it looking beautiful.
